Ukraine Mission Trip 2024

We will be going to Ukraine From 22 July - 20 August 2024. Please partner with us in prayer and finances.

We are going for the second year of a school we helped friends pioneer last year. We are investing into the next generation of leaders in Ukraine, discipling them into being lovers of Jesus who worship him in spirit and in truth.

There are many displaced Ukrainians because of the war. We are creating a space for them to come get away from the noise and be with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We will also be pioneering a worship intensive school this year.

Please keep us in prayer as we follow the Lord in this. We love His voice and will follow him anywhere.

More details below. Bank details near the bottom of this page in the “How can you help?” section if you would like to sow into this trip. Thank you!

Dale & Jords

  • Last year we felt God call us. God opened the doors where it seemed impossible. We saw his hand on the school we were apart of and all the ministry in-between. It was incredible seeing Jesus touch and change so many Ukrainian lives in the middle of a war.

We've been asked to come again this year and as we've prayed about it we felt God say Yes again.

Dennis & Anya are dear friends of ours. I (Dale) spent time with them in Ukraine in November 2021 where I went to lead worship and be involved in mission trips to the streets, the churches and orphanages in Kyiv & Odessa. During this mission trip, I and several others felt I would be called to come back.

During March 2023, Jords and I were praying & fasting. We were seeking the Lord for our lives in general. We love him and simply want our lives to continually be transformed by him and yielded to him.

Off the back of this fasting season, Gods presence filled us in a powerful way. We had a sense of clarity and hope for our lives in Christ. We felt God giving us a deep love for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Knowing God would call me back, we began to pray and root ourselves in God and what he’s saying over us. We felt the clear call to go and bring the love of the Father to people who are crying out in Ukraine.

A month later, Dennis got hold of me and invited us to partner with them in leading this discipleship school called “The School of Sons & Daughters” in Ukraine.

Long story short - WE WENT. Jesus is so faithful. The cost of following him is nothing worth to what we receive when we get to be with him and partner with his love for people.

Ukraine is going through a war. This is real. People are dying and suffering. People are broken and hurting. And in the midst of all the chaos and evil, God is still good and seeking worshippers. He is still good and seeking sons and daughters.

In conversation with Dennis, He expressed that many Ukrainians have either left the country or moved to the west. Many who have moved west are crying out for discipleship. The cry being heard is “teach me how to live”. The young adults and youth of Ukraine are its future leaders, and they are seeking for people to teach them how to live life with God, how to live connected to the love of the Father. To learn how to live with their identity rooted In who God says they are. We feel the strong call again to say Yes to God and say “Here I am Lord, Send me.”

We’ve prayed a lot into this, being well aware of what Ukraine is going through. We have sought prayer and wisdom from others and remain feeling at peace and joy with going. We believe with all our hearts that the safest place we can be is where God has called us. And our prayer as a marriage is this: that we would, in trust and unity, as husband and wife, be consumed with God himself and used by Him, no matter the cost.

    That is our cry.

This year we will be leading the same school of sons & daughters along side dear friends in the faith. We also be pioneering a 3 day "Heart of Worship" school.

  • Dennis & Anya Melnichuk - “We believe that the values you esteem for purity of heart, sincere worship, authenticity in relationships, and others, resound with the longing in our hearts. We would be enriched by your participation in this project, in formulating the content, the input you could bring with your presence on-site, and the added strength of your relationship with the Holy Spirit being interwoven into this effort. We invite you both to be on this intensive's core group of leaders.

  • We are in love with Jesus. Fully and irrevocably. Proudly and unashamedly.

We will follow him no matter the cost. We’ve known and continually experienced his kindness. We want our lives to be found in his goodness, for his glory. Whether in our family, in our community, down the road or across the world to a war zone. He is worthy of our yes and always will be.

The greatest gift that Jords and I have received (other than the gift of salvation) is the learned revelation of friendship with The Holy Spirit. Our daily bread. The intentionality of being with him, enjoying being with him as he enjoys being with us, revealing the ways of Jesus, revealing the Father’s joy over us as his beloved, hearing his truth over who he says we are and who others around us are. We believe the greatest key to emotional and relational health is relationship and daily dialogue with the Lord.

FROM DENNIS & ANYA MELNICHUK

From a young age, Dennis knew God had a call on his life. After completing a DTS with Youth With A Mission and serving as a missionary in China for two years, Dennis attended The Send in Orlando, Florida and his life was forever changed: "Dennis, God is commissioning you to Ukraine in Eastern Europe." - Sean Boltz

Four years later, Dennis now serves full-time in Ukraine with his wife Anya. Together they are leading a next generation of Ukrainians into relationship with the Lord through ministry, service & discipleship.

  • Our vision is to provide a space where people can encounter Jesus and personally experience God’s love in a powerful and personal way. This intensive is intended to instil the values of a community witnessing God’s Kingdom as a family.

“God’s Kingdom looks like a family,” so we believe this begins with seeing God rightly and then seeing ourselves accordingly, followed by looking at others through the same perspective of love.

Therefore our focus will be 3-fold: God, us, and others. The intensive will be comprised primarily of believers from a range of about 17-28 years old, whom we want to lead through a series of sessions and workshops in discovering the radiance of Jesus and our adoption into His family as sons and daughters of God who are free to worship, and free to love as they have been loved, witnessing to the resurrection of Jesus through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Our goal is to instil the values of intimacy with God, worship, identity, community, and the power of the Holy Spirit in an intensive modelled as a discipleship experience.

  • Dennis and Anya lead a ministry called Awakened Generation.
