What is Salvation?

God wants you to know that you can be saved from eternal death and sin by trusting Him. Praying the sinner’s prayer means recognizing that you depend on Jesus as your Saviour and want Him to lead your life, making Him your King and you a part of His family. It’s not a "magic" formula; it’s about trusting in what Jesus did for you through His life, death, and resurrection.

If you see yourself as a sinner and need salvation through Jesus, you can pray this prayer to God. We encourage you to say this prayer out loud.

Congratulations

If you have prayed the above prayer…

Welcome to the family of God!

God's promises are true, so you are saved and recognized as a child of God. He promises to always be with you. You are now born again, with eternal life and a new beginning in Christ.

Just as a baby needs certain things to grow, you must establish a few things to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus.

  • Breathe in God's presence. Make prayer a daily habit to deepen your connection with Him.

  • Daily nourishment. Read and obey your Bible every day. You can start by using a daily devotional to read, study, think, and memorise the Bible. As you do this you will learn more about who God is and what he thinks of you.

  • A sense of belonging. Being a part of a local church community is how discipleship is worked out, serving Jesus together and receiving healing through godly relationships.

  • Learn how to expand his Kingdom. Learn to grow His Kingdom by sharing what Jesus has done for you. Go and tell someone, who knows Jesus, about what he has done for you today!

And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” —Mark 1:17

If you live near our church, we would be happy to support you in following Jesus with a one-to-one personal guide.

We are inviting you to join us in our Sunday meetings where we have a team of people you can chat about what this would look like!
